Richard Ivry is a Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of California, Berkeley. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brown University and graduate work at the University of Oregon. Prof. Ivry has been at UC Berkeley since 1991, directing the Cognition and Action Laboratory. His research involves the use of multiple cognitive neuroscience tools to understand how people acquire and produce skilled movements, and how this capability may be disrupted by brain injury.
