Biodata

Belgian researcher with long-term residence in Mexico; faculty researcher and professor at UNAM. She graduated in Classical Philology from the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL); Master and Doctor in Classical Letters from the University of Minnesota. Likewise, she studied the subjects of the Doctorate in Linguistics at the Colegio de MĂ©xico (COLMEX). Her lines of research cover the diachrony of Spanish and the relationship between syntax and semantics in phenomena of synchronous variation. She has published studies that revolve around the grammatical patterns that manifest different kinds of verbal predicates in use.
